These murals were painted onto a large cabinet unit in a Boulder loft.  The dimensions of the unit were 10’ long by 6’ tall by 4’ deep.  The ship painting is a reproduction of a late 19th century Italian painting.  The mosaic on the end of the cabinet unit was also inspired by Italian art but of a very different era.  Michelle Frances used paint to recreate a Roman mosaic.  The lower section of this side of the unit is painted to mimic the exposed brick on the loft walls.
